Software Engineer
The person filling this role will work across the entire product, from edge cameras and robots to cloud services and custom GPU farms, while working with some of the most talented engineers in the industry. We work in an open and collaborative environment and will work with each individual to ensure that their jobs are fulfilling and actually have an impact on customers and the real world. With your help, we will enable the next generation of vision AI.
While we would like to work with you in determining how your specific skills will turn into an exact role at Groundlight that will maximize your impact, you can expect the following responsibilities when working here:

Design, develop, debug, and review code for various systems including front-end UI, back-end service, edge system, analytics, monitoring, internal tools, and ML training and inference.

Collaborate with our ML scientists and product owners to turn functional requirements into detailed engineering plans, and into production systems.

Participate in on-call rotation to maintain production systems and debug customer problems.

Developer Engagement Lead

Building and fostering community around our API and SDK in a scalable way that aligns with our business goals.

Creating and delivering clear and accessible technical content, documentation, and demos that showcase our capabilities.

Creating and managing scalable programs to engage and support developers, including hackathons and workshops.

Closing the loop on feedback between external developers and our product team.

Collaborating with our marketing team to create content that resonates with developers.

Open-minded and excited to talk shop with people building all kinds of applications.

Coming into this role we’ll expect you to have…

Passion for enabling others to build amazing things with computer vision.

Practical experience building real software, or a Computer Science or Engineering degree.

Comfort writing code in Python and maintaining it on Github.

Experience writing developer documentation and content.

The ability to communicate and engage respectfully with a variety of audiences.

Experience participating in Open Source projects and/or developer communities (not necessarily leading them)
